Raking & Baling Hay

Today we need to rake our hay and get it baled. It’s going to be a long day on Virginia’s Only USDA Certified Organic Maple Syrup Farm. In addition to making Virginia’s only USDA Organic maple syrup, we raise, cattle (beef & dairy), sheep, chickens (meat and layers) ducks, turkeys and alpacas. having all these animals, we need hay and a good amount of it. Today we are getting towards the end of the hay making process. The goal for today is to get the hay raked and baled. And into the barn. It’s going to be a long day. The first thing we need to do is service the Frontier Hay Rake then the New Holland 455 baler.

In this video I shared a Milwaukee Grease gun. Here is a link to the same one I use on the farm. I wish I were sponsored by them but we are not. wink wink…

This is the grease gun by itself. https://amzn.to/3NzSU4x
