Adjust Parking Brake on Yamaha Viking
Today we need to adjust the parking brake on our Yamaha Viking. This is a simple adjustment. We’ve had our Yamaha Viking for about 5 years and it wasn’t until recently did the parking brake stop working. This adjustment takes about 10 minutes to do. With most of that time looking for tools… You will need a 12mm socket and a 7/32nds wrench. A small adjustable will work too. Loosen the nut (counter clockwise) then using the 7/32nds wrench, turn the threaded rod (clockwise) maybe 1-2 turns. Turn the nut by hand and check the parking brake. It doesn’t take too much to get the parking brake working again.
In the event you need a set of pads, these are the ones we would buy.
